Title: Thank you
Let me test your memory!!
Do you remember what I said in my 8th speech?
I talked about how you can make your mind energetic.

So now, …Are you all energetically making your life happy ?
Of course, I am doing that.
I am energetically enjoying my life!

As I said before, it is all about "you". “Yourself”.
The key factor is "you".
It is “you”, who can make your mind become energetic.
In other words, you have to make the decision by yourself to make your mind energetic.
Well then, how do you make your decisions by yourself to effect your mind?
It’s simple.
You have to get your mind into a good mood.
There are two methods.
The first method is to use the 5 elements.
Your thinking, your face, your attitude, your words, and your action will influence your mind.

According to medical research,
your face is not influenced by your mind’s condition.
Rather, it is opposite.
Your mind is influenced by your face.
The other elements also affect your mind in the same way.

The question is,
“how” can you get your mind into a good mood?
The answer is whether your mind is positive, or not.
It is decided by you.
So you can just use positive thinking, positive face, positive attitude, positive words, and positive action .

For example, when difficult situations happen,
what words do you use to keep your mind’s condition?

Please remember Kitajima who is a great swimmer.
He said “ちょー気持ちいい”, didn’t he?

These are positive words. You can choose to say words like “no problem”, too.

It is decided by you and it is not decided by the situation.
Other Positive elements are also decided by you.
Can you do it?

Now, the second method to get your mind into a good mood is
to change your thinking from “receive” to “give”.

I think most people are crazier about “receiving” than “giving”.
Anyone will be in a good mood when they receive something.
However, they will realize that their mind will eventually become negative,
because they will want more or feel it’s not enough.
This is because the other person decides whether to give you something, or not.
It is not decided by you. It is dependent on the other person.

Please think about how happy you will be to receive a present.
And now, think about how happy you will be to give a present to someone?
Don’t you feel happy when you make someone happy?
It is because giving will energize your mind.

Wouldn’t you feel good if you could see your children’s happy faces when you take them to Disneyland even when you were very busy with work?
You would feel happy even if you got exhausted and money was spent.

Then, what should you give?
It should neither be a thing nor money.

Although you might feel good when you give them, it is a lonely feeling.
Also, your house and your purse might become empty. (laugh!!)

You should give your energy to someone’s mind.
And you can decide, by yourself,
whether you will give someone your energy, or not.
.
That miracle energy is Respectful mind, Cheerful mind, Appreciative mind.
And appreciative mind is the most important for your mind’s condition.

We originally live to wish for appreciation from someone.
So, you will become energetic if you are appreciated by someone.
However, how does your mind become appreciative when you appreciate someone?
I think your energy in your mind will be affected when you appreciate someone.

Saying “thank you” is the essential source that brings great energy and high performance to you.

However, we normally decide whether to appreciate someone, or not, by someone’s reaction.
You should not fluctuate between hope and despair from other’s reaction.
It is absolutely essential that you have an "appreciative mind" for your own good.
You should choose to "Give" in your daily life, for you, for yourself.

Recently, the value of this "appreciative mind" is proven in the sport world.
Do you know the great athlete who has an "appreciative mind"?
She is the marathon runner, Naoko Takahashi.
She seems to have been running in appreciation for being able to run in the full marathon.
And she appreciated the people on the sidewalk!
Furthermore, by about 30 kilos into the marathon, she appreciated even the rival who was competing against her.

If it was me, I will think "I will absolutely defeat you".
However, do you know what this will do?
It will not only strain your body and your muscles will become hard,
but it will also decrease your performance,
because your peripheral vessel 末梢血管 will shrink and the supply of oxygen will worsen.

However, Q chan was different.
She could improve and keep her energetic performance by appreciating others, even to competitors.
Of course, she didn't think that she may be defeated.
She definitely wanted to win by appreciating others even to competitors.

Finally, I believe people who can say “thank you”, will receive thank you from others.
And I believe the life that says “thank you”; you will create happy life that will receive thank you in life.

I hope you will decide to have the mind of "Thank you" for you!

Thank you very much TMs
This is 10th speech.
I really appreciate your kind support.
Thank you again for my 10th speech.

QTC Speech #9

内燃機関とHVの比較によるSKYACTIVの凄さを紹介。

Title: SKYACTIV

Do you sometimes think about getting a new car?
Does your car get terrible gas mileage?
or,
Is it a hopelessly old model?

Why don’t you go ahead and get a new car?
……one with all the latest technology.

Maybe you have seen a lot of new models on the street or on TV.
There are many types of new cars.
Recently, eco-friendly cars stand out,
cars such as EV (the electric vehicle) and HV (the Hybrid vehicle).

288579_convert_20110314212916.jpg

What type of car do you prefer if you want to buy one ?
I would suggest a car with a normal gasoline engine.

Why would I suggest that?
I will tell you the reason today.

After the automobile was born 120 years ago, the car technology has evolved rapidly.
People say the gasoline engine is difficult to improve any more.
And, the EV and HV were considered to be breakthroughs in technology.

However, at present, EV, the electric car, is not practicable.
Please look at this.

The price is high. The mileage is short.
It takes time to charge the battery.
The size of the car is small.
It will need further evolution to make it popular.
It will take over ten years.

However, HV, the hybrid car, is more practicable compared to EV.
An electric motor will be mainly used at low speed range.
An engine will be mainly used at mid and high speed range.
As a result, the mileage is tremendous.
Since a large amount of gasoline is consumed by the acceleration at the low speed range.
It is a perfect car for Japan that has a lot of traffic signals and congestion.

However, please think about this…
If fuel economy is improved, the fun of driving will deteriorate to the contrary.
This is common sense.
HV is also the same as this.

So, I think you might be overestimating the HV?

I will give you a simple example.
The HV has a motor with unique battery in addition to an engine.
For this, the car is heavier, space is sacrificed, and the price increases.

Let me explain the differences between the HV model and the engine model for example.
Please look at this.

The vehicle weight, increases by *** kg.
This is two times the weight of a man.

And the capacity of the luggage area ** L is sacrificed.
This is equal to ** 2L bottles.

As you can see,
the price increases by ***,*** yen,
while, the fuel economy is improved *.* km/L.
But, just by simply calculation,
you cannot recover this price difference,
even after driving the car for ten years!!

Though I've only been bashing the HV,
it's true that the fuel economy is improved.

The point is this:
Which do you expect…
only the fuel economy or the various enjoyments of your car?
The car is a high price product.

Don’t you want to buy a satisfying car?

Now, I will introduce the great car today.
I think it will exceed your expectation.
You can enjoy the driving performance and you don't need to worry about fuel cost.

It is TNP 30 as same as HV with great performance.
It will be planed to release in the first half of this year.
I'm amazed.

a1ad17d7_convert_20110314212643.jpg

That is a gasoline engine car and doesn't have the motor with the unique battery.
It is the next-generation engine that has been greatly improved the performance.

The point is this…
There are two things.
More powerful energy should be extracted from the fuel of a certain amount to the utmost limit.
And, the extracted energy should be brought to the tires without any loss.

However, these are very difficult things to do.
Simply put,
Please look at this.

70 percent of the generated energy by the engine is lost by various factors.
If you put 1000 yen of gasoline in your car, your car will lose 700 yen of gasoline.

The Engineers have investigated the cause of this 70 percent lost energy
that was impossible to improve until now.
They have strived perseveringly to solve this problem.
Finally, they have achieved a breakthrough innovation.

It has improved fuel economy and driving performance by innovating the engine itself!

Now, next time you want a new car…
what kind of car would you want to buy?

QTC Invocation2

QTCでInvocationを担当。
MBZが講義を受けたメンタルトレーニングの一部を紹介した。

I will tell you about an interesting story of the mental training.
Do you know, what is the royal road of positive thinking?

It is now.

If you do something, you have three alternatives.
That is the present, the past, and the future.
You can choose the best one from them freely when you do something.
In fact, most people choose the past or the future.

If you choose the past, you are always thinking the past experience.
For example, you are taking a test.
Unfortunately, that is your weakest subject.
That time your mind is filled with something like this.
“I should have studied a little more.”

However you never change your past.
If you think about the past more and more, you will become a negative thinker rapidly.

Do you know Ichiro.
He is a baseball player and a great positive thinker.
A media asked him,” It was the worst game yesterday, wasn’t it."
to bring him to the past more and more.
Ichiro doesn't get on such a lead easily.
He might say in simple words “who cares”.
Then he often said“I will try my best that I should be done now."
This means he always selected the present to lead a positive thinking.

On the other hand, we also often select the future.
For example,
You are a member of Samurai Japan.
Before you play a soccer game, you might often think
if we lose a game what should I do.
However you never know your future.

If you think about the future more and more, you will be raised your concerns
and you will become a negative thinker.

Now how Ichiro is doing?
A media asked him that “can you achieve over 200 hits next year?”
to bring him to the future more and more.

Even Ichiro never knows in his future.
Ichiro doesn't get on such a lead easily.
He might say in simple words “who cares”.

Then he often said like that “I will try my best that I should be done now.

So you should develop a habit to select the present.

I think everyone has heard that it is important to live in the present.
And you can say it.
But it wasn't enough to develop a habit to select the present.

You must always asked yourself like that,
"I live in present." “The time is now.”” Now for it. “
So that you can develop the royal road of positive thinking in your mind.

Of course, it is also important to think the past and the future.
That is improved the quality of present.
And there are necessary to clarify what should be done now.

However, there are never making anything for you.

It is possible to execute only now.
It is possible to change only now.

Title: The Realization of Your Potential

If you want to achieve your greatest performance in sport or in business….
WHAT would you do?

In sports,
you should build your muscle by weight lifting.
Then you need to get your technical skills by practice.

In busines,
you should get knowledgeable yourself, such as in English.
Then you need to get your working skills by OJT.

There will be excellent results from your great performance.

However, besides this…
Your performance will be influenced by "your mind condition".
繧ケ繝ゥ繧、繝・_convert_20100922214103
Please imagine an iceberg floating on the sea.
As for the visible part, you can understand its performance.
And the part under water, that you cannot see…..
that is your potentiality.

This potentiality will be greatly influenced by "your mind condition".
Your performance will be increased by your mind when you have motivation.
However, your performance will be shrunk by your mind when you are not confident and/or not concentrating.

Today, I will tell you the method that you can perform using your full potential power.

1. First, I will explain the condition of the human mind.
Unfortunately, your mind will be changed easily.
繧ケ繝ゥ繧、繝・_convert_20100922214720
For instance,
It becomes small when you step on the doggy do on the way to the station in the morning.
Then it becomes smaller again when your boss talks a boring and long “his own story” at the office morning meeting.
After that it becomes very big when your client says “Thank you for your good job" in the early afternoon.
However, it becomes very small at once when your colleague complains to you just before you leave.

How would you feel in these situations?
Do you feel about the same?

2. Now, why do such various feelings happen to you?
It is because the factors in which you are made to cause these feelings exist.
There are "Environment", "Experience", and "Other people”
繧ケ繝ゥ繧、繝・_convert_20100922215235
1) First, it is the environment.
For instance,
In soccer, your performance will be different when you play at home or away.
If you transfer to another department, you may achieve an excellent outcome or you may not.
It is because your mind will be changed by the environment.

2) Next, it is experience.
Someone might say “I'm a little blue from the morning”.
But it is not the same as it is now.
This is the human character that we carry the feelings from a past experience.

3) And others' influences.
People don’t exist like the big buddha.
They speak, they move, they do things together, and they touch.
Therefore, they absolutely influence you.

These three factors are never changed by you and it is not possible to control them by yourself.
In addition to that, you may be putting some meaning on top of it.
Then, you are taking an easy way out.
This is called “Excuse” (言い訳)
繧ケ繝ゥ繧、繝・_convert_20100922220121
3. Let me give you a simple example.
You come to the station, and the train is waiting.
Just then, you tried to get into the train.
You are eye to eye with the conductor.
However the door has just closed and it started.
How would you feel?
That time, you might think like this. "Shit the train! It is a terrible day".

Another example
Before you play a tennis game, please imagine that the sun is blazing glaringly at you.
How would you feel?
That time, you might think like this. "Shit! That must be very tiring. It will become a hot game. “

You cannot stop the train and change the weather.
They can never be changed by you and it is not possible to control them by yourself.

Making excuses might certainly be easy to do.
So you blame the train or the weather as an excuse for your performance.

4. Now, I will tell you how you can motivate your mind to be big.

Another most important factor exists. It is "you".
The difference is caused by your mind, even if you have the same environment, same experience, and same others.

For example, the standard of tiring is different from your mind.
There is proof that you decide the size of your mind by yourself.

It is true that the environment, the experience, and others influence your mind.
They can never be changed by by yourself.

Therefore, you do not decide your mind by these factors.
You have to make your decisions by yourself.

This way of life is called “No Excuse!!”.
繧ケ繝ゥ繧、繝・_convert_20100922221207
Which would you choose for your great life, Excuse or No Excuse?

Title:The most selling car in Japan

Do you know what is car that sells the most in Japan?
And I am not an employee of automobile company today.

It is ***** of ******.
2008081923-1_convert_20100525005748.jpg
Then numbers of its sales in this April are 35,546 units.
Even the car delivery in Japan is waiting during half a year.

However, why does ***** sell so much in Japan?
It is not in top 10 in the United States and Germany either.
Then, I will tell you about my opinion on ***** today.

I apologize first if you have a *****.
It is a personal opinion. Please do not worry.

1.First, I will explain what system is adopted on *****.
***** has a gasoline engine and an electric motor to move a car.
It is called HV system.
An electric motor will be used at low speed range.
A gasoline engine will be used at mid and high speed range.
As a result, fuel consumption is tremendous, 38km per a liter that was written on the catalog.
Because a large amount of gasoline is consumed by the acceleration at the low speed range.

2.Then, I will tell you the main points.
First, it is the realities of *****.
There is big gap on the fuel consumption between actual and catalog one.
The actual number is **km per a liter that I searched by Internet.
It is a difference of **km from catalog.

Why do you think occurs such a big gap.

An electric motor demonstrates the performance that is the merit in an urban area that repeats Stop & Go in short time.
It is likely to become the fuel consumption of 38km surely.
This is because the battery of an electric motor will be charged by repeat of Stop & Go in short time.
It is as a result of keeps using an electric motor at low-speed range.

This means HV is the best solution of the commuting congestion in the Japan city where there are a lot of traffic lights.
107296_convert_20100525005347.jpg

However, the battery that moves an electric motor will be dead on the going up road like the mountain path, and an electric motor and a battery become a just heavy weight.

It is possible to move only 2km that is maximum capacity in the performance of a current battery with one charge.

Moreover, fuel consumption doesn't improve in the expressway that is always at high speed range because it only uses a gasoline engine.

Therefore, fuel consumption will be changed greatly by the usage pattern for HV.
This is a cause of the difference between catalog and actual one.
However, ***** owners seem to be satisfied even at **km in word of mouth information on Internet.

3.Next, I think the point that is a price of HV.
There is a price difference of one million yen when you will select the hybrid vehicle from a normal one.
Even the person who drives well cannot counterbalance it for 5 years or more.

4. Finally my conclusion.
The bottom line is the HV doesn't match to its price.
I think that you should wait to buy the HV for a while after improvement of HV system.
Actually, various manufacturers are researching the battery.
The dreamlike HV might appear soon.
01_l_convert_20100525005326.jpg

So, do you buy a HV now or not?

オマケ:以下は時間がなくカット
The first question still remains.
So, why does ****** sell the most in Japan now?

Following is what I assume.
I think that it is a point who is buying a *****.
It is a person who owned the large-sized car such as a Crown.
They transferred to a *****.

Their mind is:
The large-sized car is not driven easily.
The children already departed from our life, and it gets on two of us.
The contribution to society can be done.
The costs the gasoline and maintenance fee of Crown is high.
Show off the HV, and its newest technology!

I thought that they are forming the ***** freak.
Their segment is very large now at the time of keep increasing the number of senior citizens.
It was actually described that 57% of ***** buyers were 50 years old or more in the daily car newspaper on June 20.

This is why dose ****** sell the most in Japan now.

QTC Invocation

Contest後初めてのQTCに参加した!

今回ちょうど良くInvocationを担当した
内容はContestの感想を説明し、励ましてくれたQTCメンバーに感謝を伝えた
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you know I participated in the last TM Area Speech Contest.
Today I will tell you about my impression of my speech contest.

First, this is a secret. Can you keep it?
Okay, I contrived the domination of the TM world before the contest.
I realized that my ambition was disappeared below the horizon when contest was started, 残念!
(↑受けを狙ったものだが、QTCメンバーは真剣に受け止めて”しら~”となる)

I was not able to pass this area contest.
And I understand my ability of English.

However I learned some valuable lessons.

I had been particularly nervous while performing my speech.
My mind went blank once while performing my speech.
I think it is necessary to get a laugh from audience at the beginning of my speech in order to reduce pressure that I usually use it at my office.
The bottom line is I have to stop showing off.

Either way I was a complete defeat, even if I do my speech without mistakes.
The winners who 3 monsters, オットsorry, ladies had great skills that I couldn't imitate anything.
(↑Monstersは受けた、皆さんそう思っていたのかな?)

However, it was an interesting experience.
I concentrated my mind on speech contest from this January.
I had successively performed a speaker about 3 projects, 4, 5 and 6 to get the qualification for contest and practiced my speech contest.
I studied quite well, even if I do say so myself.
I was convinced if I try, I can do it.

Finally, I really appreciated your cooperation.
Your warm comments and help encouraged me to try it.

QTC International Speech Contest

I participated in the QTC Area Speech Contest.

Unfortunately, I was not able to pass this area contest.
I think the 3 winners had a great skills that I couldn't imitate anything.
It was a complete defeat.

However, it was an interesting experience.
I concentrated my mind on contest just 2 weeks during commute, lunch break and after work.
I studied quite well, even if I do say so myself.
I was convinced if I try, I can do it.

Finally, I appreciate my great friends showing up on such short notice.
TN-san,Shiba-san,Ohta-san,Chiba-san,Kamei-san,Ishida-san,Mikami-san,
Miyoshi-san,Kamata-san,Abe-san,Hiroshima-san,Sato-san,Sakuragi-san,

Following is my speech : My Dream Come True
****************************************************
Do you have any dreams ?
I’m sure you have dreams in your heart.
Do you want your dreams to come true ?

34378531_org_convert_20100318233753.jpg

I will tell you how one of my dreams came true for me,
because I know that a dream only comes true
when there is passion and determination behind it.

Let me share an inspiring story with you.
It’s about my friend, Matsuda-san.
He is a mountaineer.
He had a powerful vibrant dream to climb Mt. Everest.
But in 1992,
he was caught in a horrendous alpine accident in China.
From this accident,
he lost both his legs below the knee;
and he lost all his fingers.

Did that stop him?

34378543_org_convert_20100318233501.jpg

No, he pushes on …
He never abandoned his dream to climb to the top of the world's highest mountain.
After he recovered, he started again in 1994.
He climbed a lesser mountain successfully in 1994.
Remember he is doing this with artificial legs.
He has climbed a lot of mountains since then.
Finally, he was ready to tackle Mt. Everest in 1995.
_______________________________________________

As for myself, I do not have such a magnificent dream.

My dream was to climb mountains,
starting with the Japan Alps.
I never guessed it would actually come true.
I thought it was a dangerous place… far from Hiroshima.

However, I found myself wanting to climb the Japan Alps more and more.
Then, I met Matsuda-san.

34378520_org_convert_20100319000238.jpg

He has tremendous positive energy.
He has a strong forward-looking approach
that he backs up with effort.
He was buzzing with excitement for me.
He was very encouraging,
and in sharing, I felt his passion.
He got me feeling so confident and positive.

I was inspired and motivated !
I screamed in my mind…
” Yes, I want my dream! Yes, I can do it!”
When I think about my situation and what he has to go through
to reach his dream….
Anything is possible !!”.

Then I committed myself to making my dream come true.
I also realized that nothing can be achieved without effort.
It was time to take the first big step toward my dream.
_______________________________________________

I started climbing some mountains in western Japan with 2 of my mountain buddies,
to gain a great level of skills and knowledge.
Finally, we challenged climbing Mt. Turuji last June.
It took us 9 hours.
Although we came near to an alpine accident,
climbing Mt. Turugi was one of my most amazing and memorable experiences.

On that day, the weather forecast said 'cloudy with occasional showers'.
So, we had decided to walk.
But it was rain all day.
During the climb, our map got wet
and it was melting into nothing.
That caused us to lose one valuable hour of time.
Trying to makeup the lost time, we did not take a rest
and we ate only some junk-food like calorie mate bars.

My mind was not working properly but I continued to climb.
We almost lost our way.

I learned three valuable lessons from that day:
1.It is necessary to rest and take nutritious food once every hour.
2.It is important to have a map and look after it.
3.Lastly, consider the weather.
In the high mountains, the weather can change suddenly.
When the weather turns bad, when it rains, everything stops.
_____________________________________________________

Finally, last year, on October 8,
we made our debut on the Japan Alps.

How I had waited for that moment !!
The altitude was 3,190m.
That was my first experience at that altitude.
The scenery was spectacular !
I had never seen anything like it before.
It just didn’t seem to be in Japan.
It was like experiencing another world !

My first dream had been achieved.

I believe with all my heart that
‘dreams do come true’.
My next dream is to climb the European Alps,
Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Grandes jorasses and Eiger
These are the mountains I want to see, to climb, to conquer.

To do this,
I need to practice and climb the Japan Alps many more times
to build up my skills and experience.

Now, I urge you to try hard to achieve your dreams.
Go after your dreams with passion !

前回のBody Speaksと合わせてListenerを楽しませることができた。満足!

次は3/14のコンテストだ。World Champion目指して頑張るぞ!
Project 6: Workout

1. Opening
Tonight, I want to talk about how to MAKE and SHAPE your body to GET your success !

Good evening TM and welcome guests.

Do you know who Schwa-cha is ?
He is Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Of course you all know that he is the governor of California.
He made the best use of his popularity as a movie star, and he won.
However, the secret behind his success story is bodybuilding.
I think his first goal was to become the greatest bodybuilder in the world.
Actually, he won the world championship 7 times.
Then he used his huge muscular body to become a world famous movie star.

Again the key point of his success story is bodybuilding.
2010012218160000_convert_20100124174037.jpg

That is one very good example of someone
getting very successful
by building up his body.

So, how can we do that ?

2. Body
1)First, it is important to set a goal when you start to make your body.
I think the types of goals would depend on person to person.
For example, someone might want to become a famous move star, such as Schwa-cha?
Or, Someone might want to become a professional tennis player?
Or, Someone might want to become a famous fashion model?

And others. etc… etc… (et cetera…et cetera)

There are a wide variety of goals.
Setting a goal will get you motivated.
Then, you can do your workout to sustain yourself.

Also the types of exercise that you do,
will be different
depending on the goal you set.

3)Next, I will share with you
what to do to work toward your goal.
For example in weight lifting,
the result of your efforts will be different
depending on how you will do your workout.

If you want to become a movie star like Schwa-can,
you have to make your muscles grow as BIG and MASSIVE as possible.
In this case, the load level of your practice should be 70% of your maximum lift weight
and you lift it up 10 times in one set.

If you want to become a professional tennis player,
you have to have sudden explosive power to hit a powerful serve.
the load level of your practice should be 90% of your maximum lift weight
and you lift it up 1 or 2 times in one set.

Then,
If you want to become a fashion model, you have to make a perfect shape.
the load level of your practice should be 30% of your maximum lift weight
and you lift it up 30 times in one set

4) And these routines will be effective
if you do them 2 sets at each practice.

5) Next, you can do your workout as frequently as every 2 or 3 days.
Right after a workout, the muscles need 2 or 3 days to reinvigorate.

If the training is repeated, your muscles will get used to the weight.
Then please raise the weight a little, just 1or 2kgs.
Your muscles will improve constantly by doing this repetition.

6) Then you have to know
which parts of your body you should train …
You should start training the big muscles,
because they are backbone of your body.
The four muscular parts of your body are:
the chest, the back, the legs, and the abdominals.
If you want to compare your body to a tree,
these muscle parts would be like the trunk of a tree.
Our bodies are the same as trees.
Before the trunk fully grows up, the branches and the leaves don't grow.
In other words,
if the trunk is trained hard, the branches and the leaves tend to become strong altogether.

C. Conclusion
Finally, please don't overexert yourself!
Do you know "religious austerities「荒行」"?
They are one of the challenging exercises done by priests.
It is a method of training the soul by chosen discomfort.
It is the same as
when someone tends to have the view of “no pain, no gain”.

If you have this misunderstanding,
It’s possible that you will injure yourself in the worst-case,
or you may give up when things don't go your way.
So, you shouldn’t do that.
Don't overwork yourself.
The most important thing is to take it easy.

QTC Speech #5

英語Speechコンテストに出ようと思いQTCに120%集中!!
今週もQTCでスピーチにTry!

今回のテーマは”Your Body Speaks"
スタンス、動き、ジェスチャー、表情、アイコンタクトが課題だ!
やってみると、案外おもしれぇ~!

英語はmenterのチェックを受けていないので全く自信はないが以下の通りだ

Project 5: healthy people

1. Opening
Good evening TM and welcome guests.

We say that people become less and less healthy as they get older and older.

For example,
1. People tend to get forgetful with weak memory.
2. The body becomes weaker and/or fat
3. Easy to get tired soon no matter what they do.
And everything else.

Do you give it up in your mind as hopeless?
I think there is no need to despair.
You shouldn't give up.

My belief is that weight lifting is the best solution of those problems.

So, I would like to share with you how great it is.
6a01101663c576860d011017b03f3f860e_convert_20100215230735.jpg

2. Body
First, as you know that your stamina, muscle strength and power will be improved by weight lifting.
I think no more explanations are needed.
If you try it, there is nothing makes you feel more powerful.
You can feel a lot of energy.

For example, I am doing my workout twitch a week. only one hour
But I can easily play rugby and climb a mountain.
If you cannot believe me.
Would you try the arm wrestling with me?
6a01101663c576860d011017a7df85860e_convert_20100215231543.jpg

Next, you will become quick thinker by weight lifting.
Do you know why?

The mechanism of body movement is that muscles will be moved by the command from the brain.
The brain usually doses not work well to respond sensitively response in daily life.
Because brain was get used to daily actions.

As for the weight lifting, the brain will work well to respond sensitively response to lift the weight
and also commanding to muscles to lift them with keeping a balance for safety.
This will lead to activation of brain.
Then you will become quick thinker.

Although I cannot guarantee it, I leaned it based from my experience
and it is introduced in various books.

Finally, you can change your body to fat resistant.

I think in general, the way of shape up of your body is an aerobic exercise such as jogging and cycling.
There are the best exercises for burning fat.

On the other hand, build up your muscles by weight lifting is another way of burning fat too.
It will increase basal metabolism 基礎代謝by building up your muscles.

The basal metabolism is the energy consumed when you are sleeping or not doing any activities.
It makes up 70% of daily calories used, because the muscles repeat a little vibration.
Then fat will be burned as this vibration consumes the energy.

This is how to shape up your body by weight lifting.

C. Conclusion
That is all my thinking of preventing the aging.
Your brain and body will be reacted sensitively by a stimulus.
Would you try workout with me.
You can clearly understand how great it is.

QTC Speech #4

This is 4th speech. "My Dream"
Though I say it myself, I think I did quite well.

A. Opening
Do you have a dream? Yes, I have them also.
Why would I ask you about your dream?
My belief is that a dream only comes true when there is a strong will behind it.

I would like to share a story about my friend "Matsuda-san" who is a mountaineer,
he had a powerful vibrant dream to climb Mt. Everest.
However, he was faced with a tough problem on Chinese mountain in 1992.
Following an alpine accident resulted in him losing his legs below the knee and losing all his fingers.

Did that stop him?

No, he pushes on and never abandons his plan to climb to the top of the world's highest mountain.
Then he started, he climbed a lesser mountain successfully in 1994.
Remember he is doing this with artificial legs.
He climbed a lot of mountain since then.
Finally he was ready to tackle Mt. Everest in 1995.
Everest.jpg

B. Body
Me, I do not have such a magnificent dream.

My dream - it was to climb mountains, starting with the Alps in Japan.
I never guessed it would actually come true.
I thought it was far from Hiroshima and dangerous place.

However, I found myself wanting to climb it more and more.
Then I met Matsuda-san, the one I have mentioned.
He was very encouraging and in sharing I felt his passion, he was buzzing with excitement for me.
He has big positive energy and a strong forward-looking approach that he backs up with effort.
CIMG0001_convert_20100126212824.jpg
Now I am feeling more confident and positive.
I screamed within my mind ” Yes, we can. Sorry Barack Obama. Yes, I can, can’t I?
I think about my situation compared to him. Anything is possible”.

Then I committed myself to making my dream come true.
I realise that nothing is achieved without effort.
It was time to take the first big step toward my dream.

I started with TN-san and Sakuragi-san, who are my mountain buddies, to gain a great level of skills and knowledge by climbing some mountains in western Japan area.
5444903_org_convert_20100126212142.jpg

One of the amazing, fantastic experiences was climbing Mt. Turugi last June.
It took us 9 hours ad we came near to an alpine accident.

It rained and our map got wet and was dissolving in to nothing.
That was the cause of our losing one valuable hour of time.
And we did not take a rest and ate only small junk-food as a calorie mate during that time. My mind was not work properly as the climb continued.
Finally, the weather forecast that day said 'cloudy with occasional showers'.
We chose to walk. But it was rain all day.
22681029_org_convert_20100126215619.jpg

I leaned three valuable lessons:
1.It is necessary to rest and take nutritious foods once every hour.
2.It is important to have a map and look after it.
3.Lastly consider the weather. On a mountain this is variable
When it rains everything stops, the weather becomes bad.

C. Conclusion
Now, finally, we made our debut on the Japan Alps between October 8 -11- 2009.
How I had waited for that moment.
It is like experiencing another world.
It just doesn't seem to be in Japan.
The scenery is the amazing and spectacular.
CIMG0123_convert_20091021004124.jpg

The altitude was 3,190m that was my first experience of altitude.
I had never seen any of it before..
My first dream had been achieved.

I believe with all my heart that ‘dreams really do come true’.
27626140_org_convert_20100126224736.jpg

My next dream is to climb the European Alps.
Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Grandes jorasses and Eiger
These are the ones I want to see, to climb, to conquer.

To do this I need to climb the Japanese Alps more and more to build up my experiences and skills.

Finally, I am urging you to try hard to achieve your dreams, you will have a happy life.

QTC Speech #3

Thanks!
また、見に来てくれよ。

参考にSpeech内容を添付する。興味が湧いたらコメント頼むよ!

Project 3: This is Rugby

1. Opening
1) Captures audience attention
Who thinks Rugby is a disorganized and barbarous sport?
That may be because you do not understand it.
Would it surprise you to hear that it is actually very organized and civilized?

In rugby, the end of the game is called "no side" instead of "game over”.
This means both sides of defense and attack are gone when the game is over.
Then players, who have just been competing fiercely, suddenly praise each other as worthy competitors. This is called the rugby spirit.

2) Leads into speech topic
Why did I explain about rugby? I would like you to see rugby as a game like Carp or Sanfrecce.
I think everyone here could really enjoy watching rugby being played.
However I heard someone say they don’t understand the rules so therefore cannot enjoy watching it being played.
・Even if you don’t know the rules, you can still enjoy watching a rugby game without having a reason, simply for enjoyment.
・You only need to understand a few things to get the real thrill of rugby and to enjoy watching it.

Today I will give you just 2 easy-to-understand points that demonstrate the real thrills of rugby.

2. Body
1) Dynamic Clash
First, realize that rugby is a dynamic fighting sport.
You can see the dynamic clash played with powerful hitting sound during the game.
They are so powerful you can see, hear and feel the clashes right in front of your eyes.
‘Clash and dash’ against a competitor is not in the rules for other sports.
This creates a tremendous visual impact compared with being a spectator of other sports.

I urge you to watch for yourself, I have no doubt that you will experience more thrills and exhilaration as you watch the players do battle on the field.
It will raise your fighting spirit, one that you can easily forget in your daily life.

The highlight of ‘clash play’ is the tackle.
Players tackle their rival who is running at top speed.
This means players need unbelievable courage.
The players are big and strong and just imagine a brick building running full speed at you!
After the tackle has been successfully completed, you can feel a change of tide in the battle.
And the teammates will be risen their fighting spirit.

Also, for your information, there is a clash play about 40 times a game at least.
This means you can see a powerful clash play once every 2 minutes.

2). Fantastic Running Play while passing the ball.
Next is Fantastic Running Play. No matter what other say, it is fantastic.
It goes forward with top speed running while passing the ball.
Then final player is running while dodge between some tacklers or dash off some tacklers.
Then try! I have definitely no doubt that it feels great to watch it.

You can see those great fantastic running just in front of you.
It has a tremendous impact compare with other sports.

To continue, the passing of the ball is very important for running play.
You may think it is just passing a ball to next player. However it is completely different.
The player who has to pass the ball, is under huge pressure from his tackler.
He needs to be mentally strong to be able to dismiss his fear and believe he can break through and pass to his own team member.
If he does not then, it is not successful. I definitely believe it is very profound and powerful play.

I will explain the pass play with a simple example.
Imagine one tackler in front of us. We are just 2 players.
If I just pass a ball to anther player. A tackler will tackle another player. Then our play will be stopped.
But if I pass a ball to another player just before I am tackled by tackler, another player can run without a competitor.
This is a very simple technique, but it is very difficult to play. It also
means the player has to play to dismiss his fear and believe his team player will be there.

3. Ending
So you see how amazing and exciting the game is?
Simply considering 2 plays, demonstrates the basic play of a game that you can watch frequently. It means you can enjoy watching a rugby game without reason.

Close your eyes for one minute and imagine that you are in the rugby stadium and seeing my rugby game.
Take a moment to see what you can see, the players, our jerseys, all pumped up hear the cheers, the encouragement of the crowd, the buzz in the air.
Feel the feelings of euphoria, you feel pumped up, what you can hear and feel what you can feel. See it in brighter bolder colors, double the sound of cheering.
Now, you see a powerful tackle just in front of you.
Then player is passing a ball to the next player just before he is tackled by competitor.
The next player goes forward with top speed running while he passes the ball.
Then finally the player is running, dodging between tacklers.
Then victory, you score a try! Wow!
The excitement is amazing.
(I will chang my clothes to rugby uniform at this minute)

Open your eyes; here before you is a great rugby player.

Project 2: The Enjoyment of the Mountain

A. Opening
Good evening Toastmasters and welcome guests.

1. Captures audience attention
Who knows who George Mallory is?
You may not know him - but I have no doubt that you know his famous quote.
I will give you the hint. He is:
An English mountain climber
He made a bold and possibly successful drive toward the summit of Mt Everest in 1924, a climb which cost him his life.
He could have been the first man to climb Mt Everest.
Mallory's body was discovered on Everest in 1999, but whether or not he reached the summit before he died remains a subject of speculation and continuing research.
The mystery about his final effort to conquer Everest has made his name legendary among mountaineers.
2. Leads into speech topic
Now for his famous quote!
I have absolutely no doubt that you know his famous three word answer to the question "Why do you want to climb Mt. Everest?"
He said "Because it's there"

This is one example why you might want to climb mountains.
Another example, someone might want to do rock climbing. This type of climber is called “ファイト一発” (that is a TV commercial message of Lipovitan D). It’s a joke.

There is so best way to describe mountain climbing, it covers a wide range of feelings and the value of the experience depends on the person.
Today, after reflecting on my 3 years of experience in mountain climbing I am going to share my thoughts with you.

B. Body
First there is a very good reason I started mountain climbing - my boss asked me.
I had a no choice, I had to be there, so I did. Amazingly, it proved to be exciting, energising and exhilarating for me.

1. Yearning to the unknown
First, I have a yearning about the unknown. In other words my curiosity is fueled by the excitement of conquering a mountain.
The thrill of not knowing what I will see, hear and find. The wonder of nature mixed with the wonder of human nature as I share the experience of a climb.

a. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine the glorious view from the peak. From here you have a wondrous and impressive view of the city, sea, lake and mountains open your eyes now and share in the beauty of my photos.
The amazing scenery from the peak – this is a view you don’t’ see when in the city.
speech2_convert_20090726231537.jpg

b. Even more interesting is that you meet the seasons. Mountains and their landscape change according to a season, being there brings it alive.
In Spring it seems the fresh green shines day by day. The winds are also fresh which demonstrates a lively motion of life and is felt by all.
In Autumn the leaves are very brilliant and colourful.
My most favorite season is the winter. I love winter. The mountain is at its most beautiful. See my photos. There is snow and cold ice trees as far as you can see.
speech12_convert_20090726231930.jpg

2. After the amazing beauty comes a deep, deep personal fulfillment.
Previously, sport had given me that fulfillment but not to the same extent. I felt great when I won yet was often having regrets over some mistake I had made. I was mortified when I could no longer play at my previous level. I was even more mortified when I lost. As a result, I did not really achieve a deep inner fulfillment.
How different my experience is with mountain climbing.
It brings me a deep fulfillment when I stand the peak without needing to fight with someone to achieve it.
Now, I did not say it was easy mountain climbing, it is often a tough challenge. However, there is a clear target - to conquer the mountain and stand at the summit.
Keeping those wonderful images and feelings in my mind helps me as I overcome challenges and advance toward reaching the summit. There are many difficult places and some wonderful scenery on the way.
I go up part of the way intently. Finally, I feel a deep achievement when I stand at the peak. That is the mountain. This photo represents my fulfillment.
speech3_convert_20090726232257.jpg

3. There are huge amounts of calories consumed by Mountain Climbing. This my final reason for mountain climbing – having the stamina to keep on climbing.
The sheet here shows the amount of calories consumed by different sport per hour.
Mountain climbing is 453 calories per hour as same as jogging.
However, consider comparing the time involved in climbing to that playing another sport.
How long can you jog for? If you can complete a full marathon then fantastic! Not everyone can achieve that and it is not easy.
Can you lift a heavy weight for a long time? If you do - then you may do damage to yourself. It may mean you will be too tired for the whole week. I played rugby for a long time during my college days. But it is absolutely impossible now.
The bottom line is that the only sport that you can easily do for a long time is mountain climbing. As a result, mountain climbing uses a huge amount of consumption calories.
The other day we easily climbed Mt. Misen at the Miyazima. It was about 4 hours climbing. Is that right, Sedohara san? This means we consumed 1812kcal

Consumption calories (kcal) by each sport: Man(60kg/1hour)
1 Running 835
2 Weight lifting 684
3 Swimming 579
4 Rugby 518
5 Soccer 518
6 Jogging(120m/minute) 453
7 Climbing Mountain 453
8 Cycling 288
9 Baseball 244
10 Walking 205

C. Conclusion
For these 3 reasons, yearning for the unknown, bringing a deep fulfillment and huge amount of consumption calories, are my thought of why do you want to climb mountains.
I definitely think mountain climbing is the greatest sport of all.
I enjoy my mountain climbing and will do more and more of it.
I am planning to go to the Japanese Alps this September and know I will be excited, energised and exhilarated by that feeling of deep fulfillment from the wonderful views and scenery.

Watch this space for an awesome story of my trip to the Japan Alps.

The Enjoyment of Life
1. Opening (Younger days)
Good evening fellow toastmasters and welcome guests.
I want to start by asking you a very important question ! Do you enjoy your life? For me, yes, I do.
Today, I will tell you how I enjoy my life.
First, I want to explain ‘why’ I enjoy my life now, by telling you something about my younger days. If I were to use one word to remind myself of my young days, it would be to learn ‘patience’.
I was not very satisfied with my life when I was younger, even when I had performed and achieved as a rugby player in a strong rugby team. Please look at this picture. This is when I was in college.
6a01101663c576860d01101629d530860c_convert_20100920235020.jpg
Rugby dominated my life, I did nothing but played rugby every day. We trained hard so as to win the game. We did not think of losing, we thought only about how to win.
When I was 32, I stopped playing rugby in my company’s rugby team, Blue Zoomers. But I continued to stay on the team as a coach. It was not fun, and I did not enjoy doing that. I was not in the action, I was on the sidelines, just ‘thinking HOW to win.’I was not enjoying my life.

So, I decided to change and go find new enjoyment in life ‘after rugby’. I decided to spend time with good friends who would encourage me to take up other amazing activities.

2. Body (After retired rugby)
Now, let me share 4 different fun experiences as a result of that decision. I have gained so much enjoyment from them as you will hear.

1) Mountain climbing
Three years ago I started mountain climbing. It gives me a lot of pleasure. Beyond the physical climb, I gain a feeling of a deep fulfillment when I stand at the peak. I even forget how difficult the climb was, and feel how the air tastes great. The view and scenery from the summit is spectacular!

Here is Mt. Ishizuchi in the Ehime prefecture, it is the highest mountain in this area.
6a01101663c576860d01101838bb2c860f_convert_20100922224457.jpg
The best part after coming down from the mountain is to enjoy the hot spring and drink some cold beer. Fantastic!

2) Rugby re-visited
Would you believe it ?…….I then discovered how to enjoy rugby again ?!
First by cheering my favorite rugby team. 0f course, the Mazda Blue Zoomers; see my T-shirt!
In fact, they are playing a game tomorrow at Hiroshima stadium. I am so excited! Would you like to join me? It will be amazing.

Back to the point…
Second, another fun way to enjoy rugby is playing for enjoyment, not caring if we win or lose.
I have joined a local team of Hiroshima in Kure. This club is not concerned about wining or losing. My teammates and I play for the simple enjoyment of the game.

3) Weight lifting
Now into the heavy stuff, weight lifting is also one of my favorite sports.
See this picture. This is squat. I love it.

For me, it is a stress-buster.
My mind is totally clear, everything just disappears when I lift the heavy weights. All my concentration is centered on lifting the weight. All I can think of is how many times it goes up; one, two, and three.
When I make it to ten that is great - it is final. It feels amazing.

4) Great friends
In the past, I thought the best friends were the ones who encouraged me during my rugby playing days.
Now I have opened up my focus and attracted a whole new set of great friends, who encourage me in the different areas of my life.
See these pictures. They are all my best friends.
6a01101663c576860d011016196775860b_convert_20100922225323.jpg
These are a sample of the fun things in my life.
I also write about these things in my blog.
6a01101663c576860d011017a7df85860e_convert_20100922225720.jpg

6a01101663c576860d0110162d24d2860c_convert_20100922225749.jpg

3. Conclusion
As for my next peak…
What next?
・I want to enjoy my life more and more.
・I want to enjoy QTC with good friends, that is my next target peak.
・To make the most of this I am improving my English.
・Yes, I can do that with the support of my fellow club members.

Till next time, I leave you with a question - How do you want to enjoy your life?

Toastmaster
